Bride Biodata Format
A bride's biodata uses the same six sections as any marriage biodata. What changes is emphasis — and what deserves pushback. Write the education and career section with exactly the weight it deserves: "M.Sc., working as a data analyst in Gurgaon" is a fact to lead with, not soften.
What to do differently
- Lead with education and work. Families comparing biodatas notice specifics: institute, role, city. If she plans to keep working after marriage, the partner-preference line is the natural place to say so.
- Hobbies earn their place. One concrete line — "trained Bharatanatyam dancer" or "runs a small baking page" — starts more first calls than three generic ones.
- Skip what used to be standard. Complexion, "homely", weight: modern biodatas leave these out, and the families you want to hear from don't miss them.
- Photo choice. One clear individual photo, natural light, no heavy filter. Many families share it separately from the biodata — that's fine and increasingly common.
